Policy Advising
Early Child Development is complex. Social, cultural, relational, biological, and genetic, and systems factors all play a critical role in determining how a child grows.
Through “bottom-up” initiatives, such as caregiver empowerment for self-regulation and co-regulation, GCCN supports the development of young children. Simultaneously, through “top-down” initiatives, such as preparing evidence-based policy reports that governments and non-governmental organizations can use to establish laws and implement policies, the CCCN addresses the social and cultural factors that can impact ECD. We have worked closely with both national governments and international organizations such as UNICEF to develop evidence-based, targeted ECD policies.
